Gwyneth Paltrow’s Bondi Recommendations & One We Can’t Agree With

On her website Goop, Gwyneth Paltrow shared her favourite experiences from her recent visit to Sydney with Bondi featuring prominently. So, what’s her top itinerary picks for a visit to Bondi?

Her itinerary highlighted her experience having dinner at Icebergs Dining Room and exploring the Bondi to Bronte coastal walk, both of which she has recommended. Additionally, she recommended stopping by BONDI WASH and Playa by Lucy Folk.

Whilst we think these suggestions are spot on for first time visitors to Bondi it was her take on the beach itself which was a little bizarre. “Visitors with their minds set on a dip should know that the iconic Bondi Beach is better for sunbathing than swimming,” she said. It’s an odd perspective, especially considering Bondi’s reputation as a prime swimming destination in Australia and every local’s own experience of swimming there. We can only assume she turned up on a day with choppy or large swell condition. In avoiding swimming at the beach Gwyneth checked out Bondi Icebergs, which to be fair is one of Australia’s other great swimming destinations.
